About Kim
When Kim Morgan first entered a potter's workshop and plunged his hands into a lump of wet clay at the tender age of nine, he knew instinctively he wanted to be a potter.
Originally from Palmerston North, Kim Morgan has loved pottery ever since he went on a school trip and watched a potter at work.
After High School, Kim attended Art School in Dunedin. Following that he spent time in Australia 'throwing pots' and in Jersey in the Channel Islands where he established his first workshop and gallery, where people were able to first see his handmade ceramics for sale before moving back to New Zealand with his wife Debbie and children.
Kim is now a Master New Zealand Potter living along the banks of the Tukituki River, Hawke's Bay and his contemporary pottery for sale are sought after from all over New Zealand. After more than 40+ years as an artisan potter, Kim creates clay pottery for sale as beautiful mugs, jugs, plates, platters and bowls of all sizes and he encourages people to enjoy using his pottery in everyday life with family and friends. All of Kim's work is handmade pottery for sale online.
Kim’s goal is to remain at the leading edge of his craft as he continues to experiment with different techniques and ideas to produce new designs that are both functional and very artistic. Using stoneware for sale enables potential clients to see the range of handmade pottery for sale online.
The Havelock North based potter has had his hands in mud for the past 40 years and considers his workshop ‘the centre of the universe”.
